Dominic Slesinski Racing Takes the Wheel of the #81: New Partnership and Blanket Hill Speedway Recap

Being a first-generation race team means starting from the ground up, learning, growing, and leaning on the support of those around us. This past weekend, we kicked off an exciting new chapter for DSR.

We are happy to announce a partnership with Scott Scholl Racing. For the remainder of the 2025 season, Dominic Slesinski will be driving the #81 car with the support and mentorship of SSR. This opportunity gives Dominic more seat time, valuable experience, and the chance to grow with the backing of an experienced team who believes in our journey.

Race Recap

Our first outing with the #81 came with challenges. With no hot laps, we rolled into Heat 2 starting P3. Running a brand-new setup, we quickly realized the car was way too loose. Rather than risk spinning out or causing a caution, Dominic made the smart call to pull off early, recording a DNF.

For the feature, we made changes to tighten the car up and started P10. The adjustments helped, but the car still wasn’t competitive enough. Once again, Dominic chose to protect the equipment and the field, pulling off to avoid wrecking the #81 or affecting other drivers’ nights.

It wasn’t the debut we hoped for, but that’s racing. Each lap is a lesson. We’ll head back to the shop, study our notes, and keep working to find the right setup in this car that fits Dominic’s driving style.

Looking Ahead

Blanket Hill Speedway is off this weekend, but we won’t be sitting still. Instead, we’re heading to Hamlin Speedway in Moscow, PA on Saturday night. More laps for Dominic, more data for the team, and more chances to build momentum.

Trackside Takeaways

  • Growth doesn’t always come with podium finishes — sometimes it comes from tough nights and tough calls. Partnering with SSR is about gaining the knowledge, and experience we need to build DSR into the future.

Appreciation Lap

A huge thank you to Scott Scholl Racing for trusting us with the #81 and helping guide us forward.

To our Trackside Support Crew, thank you for riding this journey with us, through the highs, lows, and lessons. Every step makes us stronger.

Stay tuned as we take the #81 to Hamlin this weekend and keep building lap by lap!

See you at the next one!
