Our Story
Building our own racing legacy
First-generation. Family-built. Race-proven.
Dominic Slesinski Racing didn’t begin with generations of racing experience, a family setup book, or a clear roadmap for how to build a race team.
It started in late 2023 with a teenager ready to trade hockey skates for a race car, a family willing to jump into something completely new, and the determination to figure it out one lap at a time.
What followed was a steep learning curve, plenty of trial and error, and the beginning of a racing journey none of us could have predicted.

Starting from scratch
DSR’s racing journey began in late 2023, when Dominic climbed into a Junior Sprint for his first experience behind the wheel of a race car. It didn’t take long for the next challenge to arrive. He soon made the jump directly into a 600cc Micro Sprint. A significant step up in speed, power and competition for a brand-new driver.
Everything was new. The car, the tracks, the setups, the terminology and the countless details that go into putting a competitive 600cc Micro Sprint on the track.
There was no racing background to fall back on and no playbook handed down from another generation. Every race became an opportunity to learn. Every mistake taught us something. Every small improvement mattered.
Our first full season in the 600cc Micro Sprint was about exactly that: learning.
We started at the back of the field, focused on gaining experience and putting together clean laps. Gradually, the gap began to close. Confidence grew. The car improved. And Dominic began moving from simply learning how to race to competing for positions at the front.

More Than Results
Of course we want to win.
But the story of DSR has never been only about where the car finishes. It’s about what happens when you start with very little experience and decide to keep learning anyway.
It’s the late nights in the garage, the setup changes that work and the ones that don’t. It’s studying race footage, fixing broken parts, loading the trailer again after a difficult night and driving hours to a track we’ve never seen before just to find out what we can learn there.
It’s also about the people we’ve met along the way. Racers who have shared advice. Teams that have helped when we needed it. Businesses that believed enough in what we’re building to put their names behind it. Fans, friends and family who continue following the 30s from one track to the next. Those relationships have become just as much a part of DSR as the racing itself.
We’re Just Getting Started
What began as a jump into the unknown has become a competitive race program with bigger goals than we could have imagined when we started.
There is still plenty to learn. That’s exactly the point. We’ll keep traveling to new tracks, racing stronger competition, learning from every lap and pushing ourselves beyond where we’ve already been.
We may not have inherited a racing legacy. We’re building our own.
