Rain Check Reflections: Our Mid-Season Reset

This past weekend, the only thing getting any laps in was the rain and maybe that shelf cloud that rolled over the track like it meant business. We showed up ready to race, but Mother Nature had her own plans as usual.

So instead of packing it up in frustration, we took a step back to reflect on the season so far. Rain may have delayed the laps, but it didn’t stop the momentum.

The Pros

Consistent improvements in lap times each week.
Getting the car dialed in faster, with less trial and error.
Building confidence in both the driver’s decisions and the car setups.

We may not have a trophy shelf yet, but we’ve had our share of victories. The support from our friends and family. Every time someone cheers for us or shares our story, it fuels the fire.

The Challenges

A few frustrating mechanical gremlins early on
Tire choices that didn’t quite hit
A handful of races where luck just wasn’t on our side

First-gen racing means we’re learning as we go, and it’s not always smooth. We take every setback as a note in the playbook. We’ve built this with heart, hustle, and whatever tools we’ve got in the trailer.

How the Car is Holding Up

After a rough couple of weekends early in the season, we made a few key adjustments to improve handling and corner speed.
Our team is learning to work smarter, not harder, when it comes to maintenance and tuning.
The setup notebook is starting to look like gold.

No major rebuilds (yet), and that’s a win in itself!

Driver Mindset & Team Morale

We started this season with wide eyes and open hearts, and we’re still here with both. Dominic is growing more confident with every lap, learning how to make decisions in the moment and trust the feel of the car.

As a team, we’re more connected, more focused, and more committed than ever.

Goals for the Second Half

Try out a couple different tracks
Refined race day rhythm from setup to breakdown
Keep showing up, no matter the forecast
Push ourselves, but enjoy the ride
