Back From the Beach & Back to the Grind: Race Recap from Blanket Hill Speedway

After a week away soaking up some much-needed beach time, we were ready to trade the waves for wide-open throttle. With the mid-season break behind us, the team rolled back into Blanket Hill Speedway, refreshed and ready to put the #30s back to work.

Old Notes, Fresh Focus

We didn’t make any major changes to our setup this week. Instead, we went back to basics, revisiting race notes from earlier in the season and prepping for what we expected to be a slick surface. Hot laps confirmed we were dialed in. The car felt strong and stable, exactly what we hoped for heading into the heat.

Heat Race: Fighting to the Finish

A P4 pill draw put us mid-pack for Heat 1. As soon as the green dropped, Dominic got a clean launch and wasted no time grabbing P3. The real story was the fight for second. Lap after lap of tight, side-by-side racing that came down to a photo finish at the line. We ended up P3, but it was a race that had fans on their feet and set the tone for the night.

Feature Time: Chipping Away at the Front

That heat finish earned us a P5 start in a 9-car field for the Feature. After some minor mid-race tweaks requested by Dominic to tighten up the car, we hit the track ready to go. Early on, we maintained our position through a few cautions. Once things got back under green, Dominic made a clean move into P4 and that’s where he’d stay until the checkers.

No podium this time, but another solid top-five finish and more proof that we’re heading in the right direction.
