Thursday Test and Tune: Preparing for Racing Success

In the lead-up to the weekend’s race, we capitalized on Thursday’s test and tune session to experiment with our car’s setup. Tweaking the car’s performance is essential to staying competitive in a strong field. Armed with valuable data and feedback from Thursday, we entered Saturday night ready to make further adjustments based on evolving track conditions.

Heat Race Recap: A Promising Start

Dominic opened the night with a strong showing in the heat race, securing a P4 finish. The heat provided valuable insight into the car’s potential, highlighting a slick track that made traction a challenge. Dominic felt the car was loose, particularly when exiting turns into the straightaways. Back at the pitts, we made necessary tweaks in preparation for the feature race, knowing that it would demand even more from both Dominic and the car.

As expected, the feature race at Blanket Hill was fiercely competitive, with a field of talented drivers and finely-tuned cars battling for every position. Starting in P7, Dominic faced intense competition throughout the race, holding his ground and navigating through the pack despite ongoing traction issues. In the end, he crossed the finish line in P7, a commendable result in such a competitive environment.
